Drywall complete…well, hung

I had a fairly productive day thanks to a ton of help from the fam. I started off the morning by hanging the rest of the drywall pieces while the whole family helped clean up the scrap pieces. We spent a few minutes “marking our territory” and I signed my work lol. After a trip to the dump with a truck bed full of drywall scrap, my son helped clean the drywall dust out of the basement and off all the tools. While he was doing that I hung a light in the AV closet then went around and checked the wall and ceiling for any issues. I found and fixed a few protruding screws and missed holes but was overall impressed with my lack of “screw ups.” Later in the day, the wife came down to help hang the outside corner beads, which was clutch.

Next up will be the first coat of mud and the rest of the outside corner beads. I’ll be using the paper beads for the soffit corners.

Feels pretty good to see all the walls up. Oh and whoever invented floor sweeping compound is a genius!
