I applied some first, some second and some third coats today and it’s starting to come together. I’m certainly not the best drywall finisher but I guess it’s coming along. I’m thinking one more day then I’ll sand it down and see where we’re at.

Next steps:

After I sand, I’m sure I’ll have some touch ups to do before applying the primer and then another inspection for imperfections. Once I’m finished with that I’ll be installing the electrical components that aren’t already installed, the window sill and the banister system. The inspector wanted to make sure I have that installed before he comes for the final. Once all that is complete we’ll have the inspector do his final inspection and start figuring out the flooring situation. Following floor installation will be doors, trim and paint. It feels so close I can taste it but I know we’re still a good way from the finish line.
